The Urban Sustainability Forum (USF) will take place on 19–20 November 2025 at the Avcılar Barış Manço Cultural Center in Turkey, running alongside the LivCom Awards. The Forum is organized by Mictrix and serves as an international platform dedicated to shaping the future of cities.

The Avcılar Barış Manço Cultural Center is a well-known cultural facility in the Avcılar district, located on the European side of Istanbul. It is accessible by public transport (buses, minibuses) and is part of the civic and cultural infrastructure of the area. Avcılar itself is a coastal district along the Sea of Marmara.
Online Registration
The online registration for the Urban Sustainability Forum (USF 2025) is now open. You can register through the official registration portal available on the USF website.
Do I have to individually register for the forum?
Yes. Each participant must complete their own registration electronically. Application documents are available in English.
Can I register more than one person with my registration account?
No. Group registration is not possible. Each participant must register with their own email address, which will serve as their unique identifier.
Can I update the details in my registration?
Yes. Simply log into your registration account to update your information.
Can I register a minor for the forum?
Yes. Participants under 18 years of age are welcome at USF 2025 but must be accompanied by an adult. Please check the guidelines for access and participation of minors in USF events for further information.
Is registration free?
Yes. Attendance at USF 2025 is free of charge.
In-person Attendance
Early registration is strongly recommended. Once you register, you will receive a confirmation email with a QR Code and unique registration number. This will serve as your ticket to collect your photo badge upon arrival at the USF 2025 venue. Please bring the same valid national identification document you used during online registration to collect your badge.
How do I choose the appropriate registration form and participant type?
There is only one registration form for USF 2025. You will be able to select your participant type during the process.
How can I be accredited as media?
Media representatives must register through the general registration portal and indicate that they are applying as media. To support your accreditation and allow you to bring recording or broadcast equipment to the venue,
you must provide both national identification and valid press credentials (national or international press association card or press pass). Accredited media will have access to the press room and designated areas for interviews
and coverage. A media toolkit will also be provided.
Can I attend USF 2025 virtually?
Yes. Virtual participation will be available, and detailed procedures for online accreditation will be shared in due course.
Language(s) and Accessibility
What is the official working language of USF 2025?
The working language of the Urban Sustainability Forum is English. Selected plenary sessions may also feature interpretation into additional languages, depending on partner contributions and demand.
Sign Language
Organizers of partner-led sessions may book additional interpretation services, including sign language, at their own cost.
Accessibility and Wheelchair Access
The USF 2025 venue in Avcılar is fully wheelchair accessible. A limited number of wheelchairs will be available at the registration area for use by participants throughout the Forum.
Service Dogs
Service and guide dogs are welcome at the USF 2025 venue (a valid certificate must be carried). Dedicated relief areas for service dogs will be available on site. Volunteers will be on hand to assist if needed.

Urban Expo Applications
What is the Urban Expo?
An international Urban Expo will run throughout the duration of USF 2025 to showcase sustainable urban development projects, innovative technologies, and practical solutions to today’s urban
challenges. The Expo will feature both small booths and larger pavilions, some of which may also host side events and presentations. The Urban Expo is expected to be one of the most visited areas of the Forum. Please note that
registration for USF 2025 is required to access the Urban Expo.
Who can exhibit?
Cities, local and regional authorities, civil society organizations, academia, private companies, international partners, and other relevant institutions can apply for exhibition space at the Expo. Applications are reviewed
on a first-come, first-served basis and will be assessed according to their relevance and contribution to urban sustainability. Selling items during the Urban Expo is not permitted. Full details on booth sizes,
conditions, and pricing will be included in the Urban Expo Guidelines.
What are the deadlines for Urban Expo bookings?
Applications for Urban Expo participation will remain open until the announced deadline (to be confirmed). A detailed schedule covering application deadlines, booth allocation, build-up, and dismantling will be available in
the Urban Expo Guidelines.
How can I apply for the Urban Expo?
Exhibitors can submit their application through the official USF 2025 registration portal. Once reviewed and approved, confirmation will be issued upon completion of payment.
What is the cost of space and pre-built booths at the Urban Expo?
Pricing details for pre-built booths and custom-designed pavilions will be provided in the Urban Expo Guidelines, which will be published on the USF website.
If I register as an exhibitor, do I also need to register as a participant?
No. Exhibitor registration automatically grants you full participant status at USF 2025, including access to all sessions and events.
Do exhibitors need to be present at their booths/pavilions for the entire Forum?
Yes. Exhibitors are responsible for ensuring that their booth or pavilion is staffed at all times during opening hours throughout the Forum.
Will I have access to meetings if I am registered as an exhibitor?
Yes. All registered exhibitors have access to the sessions and meetings that are open to general participants of USF 2025.
I only want to visit the Urban Expo. Do I have to register?
Yes. All visitors to the Urban Expo must complete registration and obtain a USF 2025 badge to access the venue.
Event Participation

Will I need an invitation letter to participate in a USF 2025 event?
No. Once registered online, you will receive a confirmation letter. Bring this confirmation and the identification used during registration to collect your accreditation badge at the venue.
Can I be denied access to the USF 2025 venue?
Yes. For the safety and security of all participants, the organizers reserve the right to deny or restrict access to the venue, or to request participants to leave the premises, in line with the USF Code of Conduct.
This includes but is not limited to the prevention of harassment or disruptive behavior.
USF organizers will not be responsible for any expenses incurred by participants who are refused access or requested to leave the venue.

On-site Accreditation
When will on-site accreditation start to obtain the USF 2025 photo badge?
The photo badge is required for entry into the USF 2025 venue. To avoid queues and delays, participants are strongly encouraged to arrive early and collect their badges in advance of the opening day. On-site
accreditation will be available at the venue as follows:
- 16–17 November 2025: 09:00 – 18:00
- 18–20 November 2025: 07:00 – 18:00
- 21 November 2025: 07:00 – 17:00
What documents will I need to present to get accredited?
For in-person accreditation at the venue, please bring:
- A copy of your registration confirmation email, which includes your unique registration number and QR code.
- The same identification document (passport or national ID) used during your online registration (original required).
The USF 2025 venue will be clearly marked with signage, maps of the facilities, and information desks. Volunteers and staff will be available throughout to assist participants with directions and support.
Visa and Invitation Letters
Will USF issue invitation letters?
The USF organizers will not issue invitation letters for visa purposes. Participants must contact their nearest Turkish embassy or consulate for information about obtaining a visa, if required.
Do I need a visa, where and how do I apply?
Visa requirements for entry into Türkiye depend on your nationality. Some participants may be eligible for visa-free entry, while others may obtain e-visas or visas on arrival. It is recommended
to attach your USF 2025 registration confirmation email when applying for a visa. Please note that the registration confirmation does not guarantee visa approval.
Visa support
The Government of Türkiye provides updated guidance on visa applications through its embassies and consulates. Participants are advised to consult official government resources for the latest information and requirements.

Financing / Sponsorship
Can I get sponsorship to participate in the Forum?
No. The USF organizers do not provide sponsorship for individual participants. Each participant is responsible for arranging and covering their own travel, accommodation, health and travel insurance, and all other related
expenses.
Can I get refunded for my travel costs by USF?
No. Participants are expected to cover their own travel expenses.
Will I be provided accommodation by USF?
No. Accommodation is not provided by the organizers. Participants must make their own arrangements for lodging during the Forum.
Will I be refunded for the visa application?
No. Participants are responsible for all visa-related costs and any other expenses associated with their participation in USF 2025.

Dedicated shuttle services will be provided for registered USF 2025 participants, connecting key points in Istanbul and Avcılar with the Forum venue. Shuttle schedules and pick-up locations will be announced

Which are the mobile operators?
In Türkiye, the three main mobile network providers are Turkcell, Vodafone Türkiye, and Türk Telekom. All offer 4G/LTE services, mobile data packages, and prepaid SIM cards
suitable for short-term visitors.
Where can I purchase a mobile SIM card and airtime?
SIM cards can be purchased upon arrival at Istanbul Airport (IST), Sabiha Gökçen Airport (SAW), or at official operator shops across the city. A valid passport is required
to register and activate a SIM card. Costs vary depending on the operator and the selected data/voice package.
Do I need to register my mobile phone?
Yes, Türkiye requires registration of foreign mobile devices if you intend to use a local SIM card for more than 120 days. This process involves linking your phone’s IMEI code with your passport.
If you are only staying for USF 2025 or a short period, registration is generally not required.
How do I register my device if I stay longer?
- Registration can be done online via the E-Devlet (E-Government) portal, at customs offices in airports, or at authorized mobile operator customer service points.
